Don't put yourself in a box. So often, we tell ourselves, I'm just not a (fill in the blank) person. You, yes I'm talking to you, are capable of so much more than you can even imagine.

No one begins a new thing having it all figured out. So whatever that thing is for you, that thing that sounds so fun and exciting to do but scares you to death because you don't even know where to start. I challenge you to go out and do that thing.

If you continue to do what you've always done, you will continue to have what you have always had. Be willing to get out of your routine, step outside the box and try something new. Life can get boring when you stay inside of what you already know.

I’ll go first. I’ve challenged myself to learn a new skill, woodworking. Am I knowledgeable on this subject? Heck, to the no!!! But, I do know that I’m willing, and I’m teachable…and…that’s all it takes, right!?!?!?

Our primary closet make-over is underway. My clothes and shoes are currently in plastic bins, and if I'm being honest, I’m reallyyyy missing our previous closet. Still, I'm also reallyyyyy looking forward to the future and what this closet can become.

My favorite way to elevate the everyday is with flowers.

Fresh or faux, either way, will do the trick...or...mix the two. Then use something unexpected as your vase (the one I used here is a small thrifted wastebasket 🌸)

This past year we celebrated 30 years of marriage

This past year we celebrated 30 years of marriage by going on a fun cruise getaway. It made me realize two important things. -Good relationships are all about vacations and therapy.

1. Vacations to reconnect and remember why.
2. Therapy to work out all the kinks that creep up along the way.
